Collecting Backpacks & School Supplies

For the past two years, SPUMC has gathered backpacks and school supplies for two of our local schools, Cottage Hill (K-5) and Magnolia (6-8).

This year, as last year, our goal is to provide two backpacks filled with supplies per grade level, one for a boy and one for a girl, a total of 18 backpacks. There is a different supply list for each grade level from Kindergarten to 8th Grade.

Beginning Sunday, July 1, we will have a sign-up for you to choose the sex and grade to purchase a backpack and supplies for.  You might like to work with a friend(s) to do this.

Please bring your backpacks to church on/before Sunday July 29. They will then be delivered to Rusty Clark, Superintendent of the Pleasant Ridge Union School District, so they can be distributed before school starts on August 15. We will include a tag on each one letting them know that the backpacks were given with our love and good wishes for a happy and successful school year.
