Extravagant Generosity: The Heart of Giving

9/16/2018 – 10/7/2018

Giving helps us to become what God wants us to be. Giving is not merely about the church’s and other organizations need for money but about the Christian’s need to grow in generosity. Generosity is a fruit of the spirit, a sign of our spiritual growth. God uses our giving to change the world for God’s purposes, and God uses our giving to reconfigure our interior lives and to change us.

King David - A Mirror for the World

King David: A Mirror for the World

7/1/2018 – 9/2/2018

In this series, we will study the life of King David as told in 1 and 2 Samuel. David was legendary as a shepherd, giant slayer, warrior chieftain, outlaw, mercenary, lover, poet, musician, political leader and king. His story is one of rags to riches; yet he is dreaded by his enemies for his brutality, hated by his father-in-law, betrayed by his wife, and his son led a revolution against him. His affair with a married woman led to the murder of her husband. David was a complex man, controversial and conflicted, and yet we know him as ‘a man after God’s own heart.’ King David is a mirror for the world, a reflection of every human heart. David’s story is our story, a tangled story of sin and redemption.
