We are in dire need for volunteers to help prepare lunches for the volunteer workers at the new Grass Valley work-site! They will be building 18 new condos at this site!
It is an immense task that requires a huge amount of volunteerism.
Our Church is one of many churches in the county that takes a turn preparing simple lunches.
The lunch can be anything from sandwiches to salads or a crock full of soup! They appreciate anything!. Most everyone loves fruit, brownies, or cookies too!
Drinks are provided by another organization.
I will provide maps and easy directions, also napkins, plates, or bowls and utensils if needed. I even have volunteers ready to deliver if someone else prepares the lunches. Perhaps two persons could sign up together to help defray the cost. By the way the cost is a tax deduction if you itemize! There are usually 8 to 12 workers. I will provide a headcount by the Thursday before the 2nd Saturday that we have committed to provide lunches. Anyone is welcome to lift a hammer and pound nails or just take a look and see what they have done. The site is a regular beehive of enthusiasm!
Please sign your name on the sign–up sheet provided each Sunday & specify a month if you are so inclined. Otherwise I will call to arrange a date with you.
