Anticipation

11/25/2018 – 12/30/2018

In this Advent and Christmas season, we will explore the events leading to the birth of Christ, as told by the gospel writer Luke. We will journey with Elizabeth, Zechariah, Mary and Joseph in their time of anticipation and waiting; and as we do so, we will encounter angels and hear the words of poetic songs that burst forth. As we anticipate God made flesh in Jesus, our waiting is mingled with the gift of time and space to dream new dreams and experience the light of hope, love, joy and peace.

November 25 – Waiting in the Silence – Luke 1:1-25
December 2– Holy Disruptions – Luke 1:26-38 (Candle of Hope)
December 9 – Journeying Together – Luke 1:39-45,56 (Candle of Love)
December 16 – Overpowering Emotions – Luke 1:46-55 (Candle of Joy)
December 23 – Great Expectations – Luke 1:57-80 (Candle of Peace)
December 24 (Christmas Eve) – Rise Up & Follow – Luke 2:1-20
