Let go (verb): relinquish one’s grip on someone or something.
Lent is a season of spiritual gardening, of inviting God to unearth in us what lies fallow, what needs to be tended, and what needs to die for new life to emerge. This Lent, we’re embracing the literal and spiritual practices of cultivating and letting go.

We all experience a measure of anxiety, worry or fear in our lives. We may fear heights, or spiders or speaking in public. We worry about our children, careers, money or health. Sometimes we fear those who are different; we fear the future, rejection, aging or our own mortality. Among the most frequently repeated statements in all of scriptures is, “Do not be afraid.” But how do we overcome worry, anxiety and fear? How can we live unafraid, fearless? In our sermon series fear<less, we will explore how our fears and anxieties can imprison or paralyze us, and instead, how to live a life that is not controlled by fear. With insight and comfort from the Christian faith and spiritual practices, we will search together for inner peace and strength. Based on the book Unafraid: Living with Courage and Hope in Uncertain Times by Adam Hamilton.
